"Commercial Refrigeration" criteria - details requested

Were you able to find a clear definition of commerical refrigeration systems that are required to comply with this credit?

We face the same issue for schools.

@USGBC: the reference guide is totally unclear on how to deal with commercial refrigeration systems.

'Commercial Refrigeration Systems' are first addressed with the Requirements section of the Enhanced Refrigerant Management credit. And more specifically within the "Retail" section of the requirements. 

Then within the "Further Explanation - Rating System Variations - Retail" it states: "Non-Retail projects that have commercial refrigeration systems may follow the prescriptive criteria available to retail projects for commercial refrigeration systems. Both these prescriptive criteria for the commercial refrigeration systems and the credit requirements for the HVAC refrigerant-using systems must be met to achieve credit compliance in this case."

So yes, commercial refrigeration systems in non-Retail projects must also adhere to these requirements even though this language is housed within the Retail sections of the reference guide. 

By followning Option 2. Calculation of Refrigeration Impact: I will inlcude as well Cold Rooms and Freezer Rooms systems (not single freezers or fridges) and by adding them to other HVAC equipment they will have a  refrigeratn impact pert kW lower than 13. The cold and freezer rooms systems need to meet the HCF max. refrigerant charge of no more than 2.72 g of refrigerant per kW, considering commercial refrigeration system for retail project, even our project is not retail? My understadning is that is not required per LEED credit form Note and the reference guide LEED BD+C:NC v4
