We are working on a LEED-CI project close to several city bike share stations. These are city provided bikes that can be checked out and returned to any bike share station. We have provided enough secured bike racks for all FTE, but need to location additional racks for the Peak Transient visitors. Can we use the bike share station located within 200 yards as part of the bike storage count?

We are in NYC and have the same question. Our building is well within more than 100 bike share spaces as well as 20+ public bike racks for bikes not in the bike share system. NYC now has a robust bike transportation system. We are required to have at least 2 spots for peak retail visitors. It seems to me that similarly to how the subway system meets SScr4.1 that a shared bike city system should meet the transient requirement of SS4.2. Can you provide guidance on how to document?

Our project is located in Mexico City, and have the same question. We are close to bike share station, and we will provide bicycle racks for the whole building FTE and peak transient visitors.
Is there a way to document compliance with the bike share station and the racks being provided? Also is there a way to minimize the number of racks provided with the use of the bike share station?

Have either of you (or anyone else) successfully used a city bike sharing program to document this credit? What was the approach?
