Dear all,
I'm modeling an all electric university building that is 32,000 sf/5 floors with chilled water from a central plant and hot water from an onsite electric boiler. If Performance Option 1 (Steamlined Path) is chosen for system modeling, it seems like :
Cooling water Side (Proposed to Baseline): Purchased Chilled Water translates Purchased Chilled Water
Cooling air side (Proposed to Baseline): AHU with VAV terminal units, instead of translating to System 6 (packaged VAV), translates to System 8 (VAV)
Heating (Proposed to Baseline): Electric HW boiler based terminal unit reheat translates to System 6 Electric resistance reheat
Am I looking at this right? Thank you,
Ramana.

The baseline is all system 8 according to the DES. You don't break down the system by heating and cooling separately. In this case it does not matter since system 6 and 8 are both electric resistance heat.
