I have a project that includes a large number of motorcycle parking. Can motorcycle parking be excluded from this credit if pursuing Option 2?

We have submitted motorcycle parking in the past and the reviewer's comments are consistent: motorbike parking is excluded from SS c 4.3 and SS c 4.4 credits.

I have had that same experience. For multiple past projects we have been asked to exclude motorcycle parking. But, now it is a requirement, motorcycle spaces must be included in the parking count. In our latest project, this was flagged the by the GBCI reviewer and we had to revise the parking count to include motorcycles. I sure wish USGBC would issue are addenda addressing motorcycles.

Oof. That is some serious inconsistency. Our latest ruling came just a few months ago. I believe what we are experiencing is different rules from different reviewers. I suppose the best route would be each of us to ask our particular review team outright (I don't have spare cash in my contract for a CIR). If we catch it in the design stage then there is time to make changes. What are they asking you to do? Have spaces for electric motorbikes and shared motorbikes? Or is it just in terms of parking numbers? For SSc4.3 we originally had the contractor install plugs for electric scooters + the relevant signage, and then it was dismissed and we were asked to revised all the calculations. (The client was not amused). The problem is with projects with no split Design and Construction reviews--If we were to start with a situation where we don't anticipate this then its much more difficult to legitimately add these areas in after handover. Thanks for the heads up!
