We are doing a waste audit and we evaluate metals, mixed paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, batteries, and fluorescent lamps. However we evaluated the categories paper and cardboard together, not separately. Is it a requirement to measure cardboard and paper separately or can we evaluate them together as one category?

Hi Emmanuel,
If you have already completed the waste audit my advice would be to use the data you have, as is. I don't believe this is something that would get flagged by reviewers, other than an educational note. However, for future waste audits, it is best practice to measure the cardboard and mixed paper separately. On the credit form, LEED has these materials separated as different line items.
Hope this helps!
