The percentage of APPA Space Categories (i.e. break room, conference room, copy/mail room, etc.) are specific to office buildings. Hotels would need an additional space category to capture Guest Rooms and the percent of Office Area would need to be reduced. Can this audit framework be modified to accomodate a hotel?

Hi Ana, the APPA assessment was actually developed for educational facilities originally, which is why it's sometimes hard to map it to other building types. You should be able to make it work for guest rooms by picking a similar space type that covers the appearance items you'd care about in a guest room (horizontal surfaces, floors, trash cans, vertical surfaces, lighting and light fixtures, etc). You can use the restroom space type to audit bathrooms within guest rooms. Hope that helps!
