Hi All,
Question about the calculation around Sourcing of Raw Materials. I understand for project where actual material cost is not available, project teams can use 'Hard Cost for CSI Divisions 3-10, 31.60.00, 32.10.00, 32.30.00, and 32.90.00 Only' and report 45% of this as the material cost. My questions are:
1) For projects that do not have some of these divisions and specs used, do we find an alternate section where similar products/material are used and include that cost?
2) This calculation is strictly for Sourcing of Raw Materials only, EPD can be reported from any division.....right?
3) If we have special systems (elevators etc) that have high recycled content. Can we add that spec in the overall material cost calculation? Is it OK to pick and choose specs like that based on their LEED attributes?
4) Regional material has been a particularly challenging credit for us to pursue. I have concrete mixes that are 98% regionally sourced, but cannot be reported as they are not 100%. In such cases is it viable strategy to split the mix into ingredient sourced regionally and otherwise to capture the double cost incentive for regionally sourced materials?
Please advise.
