Calculation of replacement cost

Hi, When there is some material that was donated, that actually does not appear in the total material cost (no money actually spent). What is the approach for calculation of total material cost here: a) total material cost=total money spent b) total material cost=total money spent+replacement value of any donated material? Thanks

I recommend going with replacement value. In cases where you spend money on an item evaluate that cost vs. the replacement cost and use the one that severs you better.

Thanks Susie, For calculation of the sustainable material value I would use replacement value. My question is wether you have to add the replacement value to the overall costs when determining the total material cost? This money has actually not been spent..

I think you would have to add it to the overall costs or the MR calculator will give you an error. That is what I meant by evaluating whether or not it serves you to claim it.
