Hi all,

I'm running into an unclear item in this credit regarding built-in furniture in Option 1. The project has built-in cabinetry and counters, which appear to be covered by the Composite Wood and Walls/Ceilings/Insulation categories. There is also built-in bench seating, a solid wood / plywood structure with a back and seat made of polyurethane foam and fabric. The project is not attempting the furniture category.

I assume that the plywood and any site-applied adhesives/wood stain/etc must be accounted for in their respective categories, but it's much less clear to me how to handle the fabric and foam. I could consider it....

- a wall finish since it is built in rather than freestanding?

- a furniture assembly we can disregard since the project is not pursuing that option?

- a furniture assembly we must test (as in custom furniture) since it is built-in rather than freestanding?

Thoughts on how to categorize? The more I think about it, wall finish makes the most sense...but I'm also at the point in reading this credit language and referenced standards that my head is spinning...

I see the manufacturers for the fabric we are currently considering state "meets CA 01350," which I believe is sufficient for a wall covering. Same standard for the foam? Has anyone had success finding foam that has test results of its own as opposed to as part of a furniture assembly

Thanks for any insight you can provide...
