I'm working on an office/industrial mixed use development. Our lighting designer is not familiar with the BUG rating system and has asked if there is an equivalent standard in Ireland we could refer to? In addition, does anyone have a list of equivalent standards across all credits for Ireland (and perhaps other countries) that would be of use for work outside the US?
In terms of the Light Pollution credit we can always use option 2 - calculation method as an alternative.
Many thanks

I don't know of any EU equivalent to the BUG rating system.
You can still use either Option 1 or Option 2.
You can use any lighting file used for computer lighting calculations and get a BUG rating of that fixture. The Visual-3D site, and others, have free software to convert the lighting file into a BUG rating. I have seen it work with 3 or 4 different file types.

I don't have a list of equivalent standards across all credits. The Irish GBC site might have some information. But you've likely already been thru it.

"The Irish Green Building Council is part of the International LEED round table. This develops alternative compliance paths for LEED for use in Europe and the regional priority credits. Along with LEED, European project teams might also pursue WELL, BREEAM, DGNB, SKA or other national or international rating systems. The IGBC offers tools and support for teams considering certification; contact us for more information."
