batteries chargers - load shift needs to be mentioned in O&M plan, but where?

Hi everyone,

I have a brief question. We are working on certifying an existing distribution center, and while working on the demand/response credit, more specifically on the load-shift, we noticed that LEED demands that the load-shift should be mentioned in the O&M plan. We obtained the load shift timing our batteries chargers (we have more than 60 batteries charging all approximately at the same time) in order to start charging with gaps of 30, 60, and 90 mins.

Now, can we consider the battery chargers as an independent system and include this mention into the systems' narrative or where else/in which section of the plan should we make explicit our attempt to load-shift through the batteries chargers?

Thank you,

Hi Jimmy, I don't think there's a hard and fast rule about where this information should go. I've added a stand-alone section covering demand response processes to the O&M Plan and it was accepted by GBCI. Hope that helps!
