I am working on meeting the requirements of this credit and would like to know if a trade school/ training center qualifies under the "school" category?. I cannot find any further description of "school" in either the BD+C manual or the Healthcare manual to know if this term includes only typical schools or also includes "trade" schools that offer other degrees of educational training.
In addition, can anyone tell me if retail stores offering "Post Office Box" service such as UPS Store qualifies as a "Post Office" service under LEED?

Schools are schools and trade schools are schools. I'm not completely sure of training centers. What else do they do there? I think if the mission of the organization is something else and the training is tertiary, you may have a fight on your hands. If it is the primary mission, you should be okay.
I'm not sure about the UPS Store as a post office. You may want to try the main board. I'd classify it as retail because you can't get passports, mail and other services there like you can at the post office. This is my opinion.

The "trade school" is a training center for "pipefitters" and is currently located within our 1/2 mile radius but is combined with a general office for the union which operates the training facility. It is currently building a separate training facility also within the 1/2 mile radius but might not be open prior to our approval.
if you search for the training facility in our geographic area it gives you a google map of the facility. I would think this would qualify - your thoughts?
