Hi!
A building being designed for having a mixed yearly energy supply covering heat demand which consists of partly purchased heat (district heating from city network) and partly ground source heat pumps (heat pumps in the building with boreholes underneath the building), what Building Type should be used for the Baseline energy model? It's either "Fossil Fuel, Fossil/Electric Hybrid, and Purchased Heat" or "Electric and Other" looking at LEED NC-v4 EAp2 and ASHRAE-90.1-2010?
Thank you in advance!

You need to review the district energy system modeling protocol in the LEED Reference Guide.

Hi Marcus!
Thank you for your response! I don't see how the LEED Reference Guide could help me choose between "Fossil Fuel, Fossil/Electric Hybrid, and Purchased Heat" and "Electric and Other" in TABLE G3.1.1A for Baseline HVAC System Type in ASHRAE-90.1-2010 though?

I know in the previous version of the DES you did not use table G3.1.1A to select your baseline system. There was a modified table in the DES to select your system. There also may be some guidance there regarding what to do in your specific situation.
