How do we model the baseline systems for an indoor botanical garden? The botanical garden requires a lot of glazing, but more so the HVAC system is really a process load in my opinion because it has to maintain the atmosphere of the plant types. Would you still use an ASHRAE baseline system?

In my experience such exotic thing are considered baseline and system selection is based on good filing your case for GBCI.
Am I right that it's not a big part of the project - like some 1000 sqf max and or not more that 1 % of GFA?

The botanical is 50% of the building area with dedicated HVAC to maintain 3 different climates in 3 separated atriums, so it is a substantial part of the building load

I agree that this is a process load. So you model the baseline the same as the proposed. If you want to claim any savings you would need to follow the exceptional calcualtion method.
