We are performing a 2009 Commercial Interior for the reuse of a 7000 sq ft decommissioned Army base building. In the demolition phase, we collected old ceiling tiles to return to the manufacturer. However, the manufacturer's program requires a full semi-trailer of ceiling panels (approximately 44 pallets) in order for them to accept the product. We simply do not have a large enough project to facilitate the return of the product.
Are we out of luck in this case for counting this material to the recycling goal (I believe so)? We certainly attempted to recycle the product.

Dean - Your gut instinct is correct. Unless you are able to recycle the ceiling tiles, you must include them in the landfilled debris for this project.
