Hi,
Our project consists of a space using an ASRS (automated storage and retrieval system). It allows storing goods without people occupying the space. Only maintenance, on a basis of once a month for a few hours on average, or if one of the systems breaks down (maintenance only). Which only have high bay lighting fixtures. Since it consists of mechanical equipment the baseline LPD is considered as 0.95 W/ft2 as per ASHRAE 90.1-2010 space by space method which we hope it’s a right consideration. Please do confirm our approach

I don't think that would be considered the appropriate space type. Since this is a warehouse and there is LPD listed for a warehouse you should use that value. Following your logic why would you need any lighting at all for the majority of hours. In a mechanical or equipment space the lights would generally be off since the space is not occupied. They only get turned on when there is maintenance in the space. If that is the way the lights are operated in this space maybe you could justify your choice but the hours of use should be very low and this space should have its own lighting schedule.
