ASHRAE Office Occupancy Schedule & Fan Control

Hi

I have a query regarding the ASHRAE Office Schedule. During normal occupancy hours the schedule is set to 95% occupancy, however our experience tells us that an 80% occupancy is typical for most offices. This can have an impact on fan consumption etc.

It is possible to use an alternative schedule that reflects a typical case per above?

Thanks

There is no requirement to model ASHRAE default schedules. These are available if the actual schedules are unknown, but actual schedules are preferred for greater accuracy.

Thanks Tyler. However in the case of Core & Shell, actual schedules are not known.  In this case, is it possible to use an alternative occupancy schedule to the ASHRAE default?

Yes, if you have a reasonable expectation that the alternative occupancy schedule is more accurate for the project than the ASHRAE default.
