We work on airports quite often and the location of these Airports are in the Middle East -- which everyone knows can be quite hot.
LEED V4 does not allow smoking rooms in the building and only allows outdoor smoking given the compliance with distances from openings, etc.
However, providing smoking areas outdoors in airports in the Middle East is contradicting the goal of providing Passenger Experience and thermal comfort for all the different types of people that go through these buildings. Is there a work around or an exception?
Thank you so much!
