Hello!
We have a project with a 36,000 sq ft GFA and will use HVAC Variable Refrigerant Flow System. For the energy simulation we used equest software. The Baseline HVAC System type we apply was System 8 (VAV with PFP boxes chilled water electric resistance) based on ASHRAE 90.1-2007 for nonresidential and more than 5 floors or >150,000 sq ft. Please advise if we are doing the right thing. If System 8 was the appropriate baseline for a 6-storey commercial building using VRF.
Thank you in advance!

Yes, over 5 stories would be a system 8 assuming no other heating fuel source.
