Any LEEDv4 limits to borrowed views through interior glazing?

If anything have any input on this that would be really appreciated. We just found that view on atrium scan only be use to a limit of 30% - but does an office space that has a window on an atrium and that I can see through the atrium glazing the outside from that same window count under the max 30% of atrium views spaces or is OK because there is only 1 layer of interior glazing between the user and the actual outdoor space

Sebastien, so what you are asking is that an office has a window that looks into an atrium but also looks through the atrium glazing to the exterior. So is the atrium enclosed with a side adjacent to the exterior?

The limit on the number of interior layers of glass is two.  So you have the exterior glazing and then two interiors. Any view whether into an atrium or exterior is not acceptable if through more than those layers. If a space has a view into an atrium and exterior and as long as that view to the exterior falls under two of the four options for views, then i would use the exterior view. I would only used the views into the atrium for spaces that have no exterior views.

LEED BD+C v4 Guide page 741 at Step-by-step guidance on Step 2 states to consider using transparent partitions or providing interior glazing at eye level to ensure views for enclosed spaces. Therefore, it is supposed to be accepted to have an interior window + an exterior window. Just please make sure, for each regularly occupied space, at least two of four eligible view types are applied.
