Under LEED 2009, exterior views "borrowed" by an interior space via interior glazing - basically viewing through an interior window to see an exterior window - used to be limited to (1) layer of interior glass separating the space from an exterior window.

From what I have read, the current LEEDv4 guidance appears silent on this issue.

By any chance has anyone had either success or rejection of "borrowed" views to claim compliance of interior rooms without direct connection to exterior windows? Any feedback from those that have undergone formal review relying on this strategy?

thx!
