I have a campus student housing project, thus the electronics in this building would be student-provided. Since collection of e-waste is still required, I am wondering if anybody has been successful with an alternate "stay-in-place" approach. Meaning, the e-waste stays in the students' apartment until they; call for a pickup or until a periodic/scheduled pickup occurs - from the appropriate campus department. Any success from anyone else? Any other atypical successful ideas?

Hi Renee - that approach seems reasonable to me. I think a detailed narrative with information about the scope, process, and frequency of the program would be good to include in your submittal. Specifying responsible parties/departments would also be good to include. And if there's temporary storage somewhere else on campus, might be good to provide some details on that as well.
