Hello,
Our building has only 3 regularly occupied areas, all of which (according to CIRs and previous threads) can be excluded from view calculations. According to the Regularly Occupied Space Matrix, the gym and auditorium may be excluded from EQc8.1 & 8.2. The third regularly occupied area is a dressing room that requires diffused glass for privacy purposes. With all 3 spaces excluded, is EQ8.2 obtainable?

Yes it is obtainable since their square footage does not go against you. This is assuming that you have provided views for all other spaces. Do the calcs, this will be your definitive answer.

Todd,
I very much appreciate your response. There are no other spaces besides these three (which are exempt) that are considered regularly occupied spaces. Therefore, we have not provided views for "all other spaces". Basically, for EQc8.2 purposes, we have a building that has zero regularly occupied spaces and consequently no calculations that can be made. I am leaning towards not obtainable...

Caleb,
You will not be able to earn EQc 8.2 if exclude all the spaces as allowed. However, even though a space can be excluded from the calculations, it does not mean that it cannot be included. Some gyms do have views to the exterior, so if it's the only space that does, then as long as 90% of the space has views you can earn the credit.
