Air Testing before Occupancy for phased move-in

This site states: A phased flush-out is possible if different sections of the building are completed at different times, which is common in multi-tenant or mixed-use project types.
We have tested dozens of projects that have occupied in phases and as long as the areas and the dates are defined in the IAQ report is has never been an issue with the LEED reviewer.

Hi Ashley,

There is not a section in the reference guide that details the allowance for phased occupancy testing that I know of but we have had many projects that have earned EQ 3.2 with this process.  We can reference them for you with the owners approval.  One note: we have never combined the flush out option with the IAQ testing option for one specific project.  During the projects that we phased occupancy/IAQ testing we made sure we identified to the reviewer in the report that the tested areas were running under the required conditions (punch list, balancing completed, min air flow in occupied mode).  We provided trend logs of the temperature and relative humidity for reference as well.  We submitted the reports identifying the separate areas tested and the multiple test dates.  I hope that helps.
