NC-v4 EQc9:Acoustic performance

Acoustic Point for Higher Education

I am an acoustical consultant. For K-12 School projects, it is clear they fall under the category of a school.  For a new construction, higher education project, the architect is advising me the project category is NOT a school as defined by USGBC but New Construction.  In the exel file for acoustic performance, the tab for "Space Category" lists many different types of spaces. We had used Schools - Classroom category but the architect is saying that category does not apply to a high education project. Can someone assist?

David, LEED for Schools only applies to K-12. So for a higher ed project filed under BD+C then you should follow the new construction requirements and categories when filling out the spreadsheet. Does that answer your question?
