Hoping to catch Barry's eye here, but welcome help from anyone!
I consider this a pretty basic question that I can't seem to find definitive guidance on now that we've completed the transition from v3 to v4.
I have a v3 initial certification from late 2012 that would like to pursue recertification, but did not register before the 10/31/16 deadline to keep it in v3.
Assuming credit tracking has gone according to plan, can this project theoretically pursue a recertification under v4? Or is there a ruling out there that says the project would need to pursue an initial certification under v4?
Thanks in advance!!

Yes the building can re-certify under V4 (or any version that is current at the time of registration). Basically you would register as usual but identify the buildings as a recert by adding 'recertification' after the title (e.g. 100 High Street RECERTIFICATION). Basic information about what the credit requirements can be found under each credit in the V4 reference guide (however not all credits have this vital piece of info). In any case setup a call with the review team. Recently we have found them to be most helpful. However your problem stem from the requirements differences between V3 and V4. This will take some navigation...with the help of the review team, of course. Bigger snags appear should you be trying to rectify a platinum building. Currently we have a platinum V4 that is undergoing recert. it will not make Platinum recert under V4. The only way we can get another platinum is to use ARC where the building will sail through at multi platinum…no problem. Hope this helps.
