Hi All,
We have an office project that has retail on the first floor. 5 stores and 3 restaurants totaling 4.5% of the total building GSF. They have separate utility connections, do not use base building HVAC and employ their own custodial services. We'd prefer excluding these from all LEED credits and prerequisites. How should we accomplish this? At a minimum we'd like to exclude them from EQp1, EAp1 and EAp2.

Hi Varun, this is a common situation for commercial office buildings. It should be pretty straightforward to exclude the retail areas from your EBOM application, just be sure to include a clear narrative with the PI forms and under the affected prerequisites/credits.
