Intent

To reduce the materials needed for and waste produced from future maintenance, repair, ren-ovation and rehabilitation through structural, mechanical, and user-induced design.

Requirements

HOMES, MIDRISE & Residential BD+C

Note: Multifamily projects may earn 1 point if they include twice the number of Type A Dwell-ing Units that are required by the applicable building code. Where the applicable building code requires Type A Dwelling units, comply with the edition of the A117.1 Standard that is refer-ence by the code. Where the applicable building code does not require Type A dwelling units, then at least 4% of the total number of dwelling units must be Type A Dwelling Units and comply with criteria for Type A Dwelling Unit found in the latest edition of the A117.1 Stand-ard.
