Lance Hosey

Architect and author Lance Hosey has led the design of many award-winning high-performance projects and has written two books and hundreds of essays on design innovation for the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Huffington Post, and many other publications. His latest book, 'The Shape of Green: Aesthetics, Ecology, and Design' (Island Press, 2012), has won a New York Book Show Award, has been Amazon’s #1 bestseller for sustainable design, and was listed among the three dozen books “all designers should read” (Environmental Building News). A popular public speaker, he has spoken at TED and keynoted SXSW Eco, the Idea Festival, and many other events, addressing a cumulative audience of over 25,000 people. In 2015 Lance became one of only 30 people in the world to be named a Fellow with both the American Institute of Architects and the US Green Building Council.
