BIO

After 30+ years leading Living Shelter Architects, Terry Phelan, AIA, became the Director of Sustainable Practice at Board & Vellum, a multidisciplinary design firm in Seattle. Terry is an insightful and intuitive architect dedicated to expanding green building practices through awareness, education, and action. Her passion and reverence for nature and the environment have inspired her to effect real change in the A&D industry through cost-effective, restorative, and high-performance design. At the end of 2024, Terry retired from Board & Vellum to pursue cultural studies and nature programs mentoring youth.
