BIO

Stephanie Gowing is the Sustainability Director at Absher Construction. In this role, she works with multiple teams to curate, implement and track Absher’s Sustainability goals. Additionally, she supports Absher’s Business Development and Industry Engagement by helping subcontractors reduce their own impacts and streamline project success. Prior to Absher, Stephanie was the City of Seattle’s Green Business Advocate in the Office of Economic Development, launching innovative projects to support a green and inclusive economy. She has a BA from Western Washington in Environmental Planning/Policy, and a Master's in Environmental Studies from Evergreen State College. She is a LEED AP and Certified Sustainable Building Advisor. Stephanie lives in Tacoma with her husband, young kids and enjoys working on their 1920s house, camping, and playing basketball.
