Christine Thomson
BIO
Christine is a Senior Project Manager with a focus on Urban Planning and Design at MIG out of the Bay Area office. She has worked as a planner and designer throughout the United States, variously located in Boston, MA and Milwaukee, WI and San Francisco, CA. Each place has its own sensibilities around urban planning and sustainability, and in these regions and throughout the country, Christine has had the opportunity to focus on sustainability while providing management, planning and design assistance on a variety of urban districts, campus and community, river corridors and waterfront redevelopment projects.
Christine's role at MIG is to demonstrate leadership in community planning and urban revitalization projects, and she specialize in identifying opportunities to use green site design and building strategies in planning projects. Christine also served for 4 years as the Chair of the local Planning Commission working to integrate sustainability into local governmental decision making while implementing the commission's purpose to ensure the orderly growth and development of the city.
Christine is a Certified Planner, a LEED accredited professional and a member of the American Planning Association. She has been recognized as a member of the 2011 team of finalists in the Kaiser Permanente Small Hospital Big Idea Design Competition, Chair of the 2006 Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) BuildingEnergy Conference, and 2004 winning team of the USGBC International Design Competition.
