Kate Sector

As Lake|Flato Architects’ Design Performance Manager, Kate informs firm-wide design performance efforts and coordinates with project teams, including project-specific performance goal setting, building simulations, certification processes and documentation, and post-occupancy evaluation. Kate is driven by an interest in ecoregional and passive design that leads to regenerative and mutualistic design inspired by place. She additionally specializes in embodied carbon research, biomimicry, and daylight and energy analysis. Kate graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design and a Certificate of Renewable and Sustainable Energy. Outside of work, Kate is the Chair of AIA San Antonio COTE (Committee on the Environment).
