Does this mean that a smoking area can be located next to an "emergency/fire egress only" door? Another question is if it can be located within 25 feet of a door that only services a utility space? This utility space is only accessible from the outside of the building, and sealed off from the rest of the interior on the inside.

Sara, Could you give me a follow-up on your question? was it acceptable to have the smoking area next to an emergency door? I am asking this because the project i am working with currently has a smoking area located at the side of the building next to an emergency door.
