BIO
Natalie Terrill launched her career as a Sustainability Consultant at Steven Winter Associates in 2005 after
earning her Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University. Prior to founding Perceptive, Natalie was a
Senior Associate at Vidaris, Inc., where she served as a lifeline for more than 50 clients by helping them create
innovative solutions and drive behavior change for multiple stakeholders across the built environment and
business sectors.
She has achieved third-party certifications under multiple rating systems for 11.9 million square feet of built
space with project teams from the US, UAE, France, Mexico and Turkey.
Natalie's environmental issues management covers land use, water use, waste diversion, material selection, indoor air quality, greenhouse gas emissions and energy use.
She is pursuing her architectural license in the state of Connecticut and has been a LEED AP and Associate of
the American Institute of Architects since 2005. Natalie co-developed the LEED v4 Rating System as a
member of the United States Green Building Council's LEED Implementation Advisory Committee and was
previously a member of the AIA Kansas Sustainable Legislation Committee. She currently serves as
Chairwoman of the Weston Select Committee for Sustainability and is part of the Sustainable CT Clean
Energy Task Force.
When not saving the planet for her clients, Natalie spends her time adding native plants to her backyard
bioswale to attract bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, frogs and turtles.
