Lili started her career as green building consultant and commissioning authority in 2008. She has provided LEED / BEAM consultant and CxA services for more than 30 projects including several landmark projects in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Phillipine and Korea. Lili was the only representative in Greater China in 2011 (and so far) as Emerging Professional, awarded by U.S. Green Building Council. In 2013, Lili established L GEES with GEES Tech to provide green building training and consultant services.

Lili is also actively engaged in green building research. She is the author of several papers and publications, including 'Commissioning requirement shall be incorporated into China Green Building Rating system', published at IC-GEEB, Beijing. She is also a part-time PhD student at Cardiff University with resarch topic of 'Valuing commissioning to improve the predictive ability of energy modelling'.

Lili is also a founding member of Platinum, a LEED professoinal consortium in Hong Kong, and currently services as Chair of Education Programs Committee. She has delivered LEED training for seminars co-hold by ASHRAE Hong Kong society and Platinum.
