Kristin is a Project Manager in SDC's Richmond office focused primarily on SDC's services to general contractors and green building process management during the construction phase of building projects with over 16 years of experience. She was the first person at Booz Allen Hamilton to receive her LEED AP in Existing Buildings in 2007 and was part of the team at Booz Allen who helped create GBCI. She has previously been on the Board for the JRGBC and has previously volunteered with USGBC NCR. Prior to joining SDC, Kristin managed her own green building consultancy which focused on providing LEED process management and, combined with her prior experience, has managed nearly 100 projects for a range of public and private sector clients. These projects have included LEED-NC Gold process management for the Defense Information Systems Agency's headquarters complex at Fort Meade, MD and LEED-NC Gold process management for James Madison University’s Student Success Center. At SDC, Kristin provides LEED process management for higher educational buildings as well as for local government projects. Projects of note include the William & Mary Integrated Science Center Phase 4, a 134,300 sf classroom and laboratory building pursuing LEED-NC Gold certification; the Virginia Tech Upper Quad Residence Hall, a 72,300 sf 300-bed residence hall pursuing LEED-NC Silver certification; the Highland Springs High School Replacement, a 231,062 sf replacement high school pursuing LEED-S Silver certification; and the Hampton Fire Station #3, a 17,134 sf new fire station pursuing LEED-NC certification. Kristin has an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and a BA in Philosophy.
