Julie Sinistore has been a project director with WSP's Sustainability, Energy and Climate Change (SECC) team since 2016 and conducting life cycle assessments (LCAs) since 2007 in a variety of fields including the electronics, bio-based fuels and chemicals, agriculture, and building and construction sectors. Julie’s sustainability strategy experience spans a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors, including universities and Fortune 500 companies, to implement and expand sustainability throughout their organizations. Julie has taught courses on various topics, such as Life Cycle Thinking, Sustainable Product Design and Renewable Energy at UC-Berkeley, UW-Madison, and Rutgers University. She is a member of the board of the American Center for Life Cycle Assessment and serves as vice chair of the education committee. She is also a certified individual Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) verifier with The International EPD® system can therefore verify EPDs and can act as a moderator in the development and update of Product Category Rules (PCRs). Julie also serves on the ISO/TC Technical Advisory Group (TAG) 207 on Environmental Management which overseas revisions to the ISO standards on LCA.
She holds a PhD in Biological Systems Engineering and a M.Sc. in Agroecology from UW-Madison, and a BS in Natural Resource Management from Cook College of Rutgers University.
