James has great strengths in historic renovation and adaptive reuse, as well as an expertise in technical spaces, although his 20 years’ experience involves many of the firm’s project types. As an Associate and Senior Project Manager, he has served a key role on many impactful projects in the St. Louis area. As the leader of Trivers’ Green Team, he manages the firm’s 2030 commitment and is drafting Trivers’ sustainable action plan. He has contributed to a number of Trivers’ sustainable projects, including the recently completed renovation of January Hall at Washington University, which is received LEED v4 Platinum certification. He is a charter member of the American Institute of Architects St. Louis Chapter Committee on the Environment and is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Missouri Gateway Green Building Council, a US Green Building Council Community.
