BIO
Giulio Pedota began his career as a lighting designer at the national theatre of Caracas, Venezuela. This experience led him to the architectural scene, where he worked in the electrical engineering field on commercial and institutional projects. His passion for lighting brought him to Schuler Shook, where he makes use of his theatrical and engineering experience to work on a wide variety of projects. As a Principal at Schuler Shook, Giulio is committed to a collaborative, creative, and intuitive design approach that integrates aesthetics, sustainable strategies, and modern technologies to satisfy the functional and visual aspects of a building. Giulio has served as President of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America - Chicago Section and as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the College of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He has addressed professional organizations such as the Chicago chapter of the AIA and the IESNA National Conference and guest lectured at Columbia College and The Art Institute of Chicago, to name a few.
