Candace is an architect at VOA Associates, Incorporated with an emphasis in healthcare architecture and sustainability. In 2009, she spent two days in Washington DC helping to write the LEED AP BD+C 2009 exam. Candace teaches LEED education courses (after the conflict of interest time span) and works on various projects as the sustainability and LEED coordinator. In 2008, Candace authored an article in the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat Journal on sustainable rating systems around the world. As an active volunteer, she currently serves as a national chair for the Center for Green Schools. In 2013, Candace was named as a ‘Top 40 under 40’ professional by the Building of Design + Construction magazine. Her credentials include AIA, EDAC, and LEED AP BD+C.
