Alexis is a multi-disciplinary Senior Project Manager / Acoustic Consultant at The Sextant Group's Capital Region office. Over the tenure of her consulting career, she has been involved in a wide range of projects, having international experience in the field of architectural acoustics, ventilation equipment noise and vibration control, and sustainable design. She is a specialist in the acoustic design of educational facilities, healthcare buildings, museums, and transportation facilities, as well as a project manager for multi-disciplinary teams, supervising the project from visioning and programming to development and design through to opening.

A LEED Accredited Professional, in 2007 she was appointed to the LEED Indoor Environmental Quality Technical Advisory Group as one of three acousticians in the USGBC’s Acoustics Working Group. The AWG re-wrote the acoustic Pre-requisite and Credit in LEED for Schools, and authored acoustic credits in the Healthcare, New Construction, and Commercial Interiors LEED Products.

Alexis is a Class of 2010 National Peer in the US Government Service Administration’s (GSA) Design Excellence and the Arts Program. National Peers are identified as distinguished private-sector design professionals who are selected to be critical voices in the formal review of all Federal government projects in the GSA’s Design Excellence and the Arts Program.

In May 2013, Consulting Specifying Engineer Magazine highlighted Alexis as one of the rising stars of the industry, in their 40-Under-40 Issue.

Recognized as a leader in the field of acoustics and sustainability, Alexis is often invited to present papers at industry conferences around the world, promoting the interdependence of these two fields.
