Mr. Beck is a past member of the Board of Directors of the New York Upstate Chapter of USGBC, is currently serving as a member of the advisory board and served as the Past Chair of the Chapter’s Contractor Training Committee. He serves as an Education Provider Reviewer and auditor for USGBC. He is a national trainer for AGC’s “Building to LEED NC” course and has presented several papers on the Contractor’s role and perspective in Sustainable Buildings and regularly teaches seminars on sustainable construction and guest lectures at local area colleges and universities. Mr. Beck has developed course work for the Workforce Development Institute of NY and trained building and construction trade instructors (AFL – CIO) across all of Upstate NY, Long Island, Connecticut and Rhode Island. He served as an advisor to Urban Green (NYC) in the development of their “G – Pro” training program and developed “The Contractor’s Toolbox for Projects Seeking LEED Certification”, workshop for the Canadian Construction Association which has been approved for inclusion in the GreenBuild 365 course catalog. Most recently Mr. Beck delivered the “Contractor’s Toolbox” for the Construction Association of Nova Scotia.
