I have the same question as well. I came across the forum in Water use reduction- Cooling Tower which states that "Generally in LEED you have to do something in order to earn a point rather than avoid doing something to earn the point." In this case a project without landscape can earn points? Log in or register to post comments 0 Vote up! It does seem strange that the credit can be earned for not including landscaping in the design. But this is very explicitly stated in the Step by Step section as you note and so until official guidance comes out stating otherwise I think you should...

This project does not have any landscape area at the moment.

forum- There are only a few of us who have commented on this in the LEED User forum so my guess is not many have used this pilot credit it or it's been approved for others without participating in the forum. We are planning on using an ascent macerating toilet. I was wondering how to properly specify it  in the Water Use calculator. Would this fixture be allowable?

We used a quarry as an end user where we hauled land clearing debris and dirt/rubble. It has been reclaimed and used as quarry fill. Can this be considered diverted waste?
