Calculations Required?NC-2009 IEQc7.1: Thermal comfort - designposted by Greg Hackett on Jan 11, 2011, 9:40 amPage 538 of the reference guide states that no calculations are required for this credit; and seems to suggest a narrative format. However, the On-line template says to "upload supporting documentation with PMV/PPD calculation, ASHRAE 55 comfort tool results, and/or psychometric comfort zone chart from Standard 55." Does anyone know the min. requirements, i.e. are calcultions now mandatory? IEQc7.1 ... Last reply: Rick Servoss, Jun 1, 2011, 4:08 pm |

IT ROOM LOADSNC-2009 EAc1: Optimize Energy Performanceposted by javier bolanos zeledon on Mar 14, 2011, 5:31 pmMarcus Sheffer LEED Fellow 7group / Energy Opportunities LEEDuser Expert 5903 thumbs up March 15, 2011- 11:29 am Sounds like non process to me. This is a bit of a grey area and can be difficult to draw a line. For an IT room it seems like it would be more throuble than it may be worth. Any reason you may want to model it as process? Claiming savings? Under 25%? Views and Line of SightEBOM-2009 IEQc2.4: Daylight and Viewsposted by Sonrisa Lucero on Mar 25, 2011, 7:16 pmHowever, I still don't see why having the range is relavant unless they were allowing someone from a seated position at 42" having a direct DIAGONAL line of sight to a window at 30" or 90". I will continue to puzzle about it after I submit a template with only 42" HORIZONTAL lines of sight.:-| Log in or register to post comments Peter Locke Sustainability Consulting Director... non-Cooling tower thinkingEBOM-2009 WEc4: Cooling Tower Water Managementposted by Jean Marais on Feb 7, 2011, 9:40 amTristan Roberts Representative Vermont House of Representatives LEEDuser Expert 11477 thumbs up February 7, 2011- 11:39 pm Jean, that's a complex question. I would say it has a lot to do with the building, its size and heating/cooling loads, efficiency of relevant equipment, etc.If you don't have a cooling tower you're not eligible for these two points, but I wouldn't let that influence design and operation decisions. I don't have vendor invoices for the furniture vendors that lists FSC wood as a line item. The invoice we can get from the furniture distributor would list the various furniture model numbers as a line item. For example they would say (14) Task Chairs, Model X- $2,000, (2) Conference Tables, Model Y- $3,000, etc. Those invoices wouldn't say chair made from, fabric,...
