CS-2009 EAp2: Minimum Energy Performance
posted by Florian Pingaud on Dec 9, 2014, 6:41 am

Dear All, I am requesting help on the energy modeling protocol for a building both connected to a stand-alone plant and a district energy system. I read a lot of posts on the forum before posting but I didn’t find an answer matching my project. Description: The project consists of building with a total area of around 500 000 sf, treated as a whole in Core and Shell v.2009. The building includes two different activities: office Spaces (200 000 sf) and retail activities (around 300 000 sf). Office spaces will be modelled as designed. The HVAC systems are not known for retail spaces (but the heating...

Hi All, Noted in the Step-by-Step Guidance, Step 2. Option 1. saying that: A landscaping plan showing native plants may be provided to confirm that irrigation will not be required, based on local rainfall and plants’ water demands. So, does it mean GBCI would accept a landscaping plan having all plants native require no irrigation after establisment period? Under the premise that the landscaping area is "rain reachable". And no calculation is needed?  Thanks a lot! WEc1 ...

The rejected waste water can be simply re-used used for mopping and cleaning the house. Using reject water to water your plants can prove to be beneficial for the longevity of the plants and their growth. So plumbing arrangements shall be made as a separate line which can direcly deliver for reuse application. Also we need to have our LEED forms that captures these applications to the v5 forms. This will balance the water need even during summer season. Also completely remove the power associated with recycling process. And also motivates the people to encourge this application in their facities/homes. ...
