Option 1: which software shall we use??NC-v4 EQc7: Daylightposted by Ricardo Sá on Jan 16, 2018, 7:52 amHi, we're experiencing lots of difficulties to correctly assess this credit. Some notes:- we're trying to guarantee compliance following option 1 (sDA and ASE simulations);- we're using IESve for our simulations, since we already use it for energy simulations for a long time. The majority of the buildings we need to assess, include large open-spaces (>1000 m2). When we try to simulate these spaces, we're getting lots of errors in the software and in fact we can't get any results for sDA parameter. We already cleared with the software provider... Interior Renovations to Historic Building while maintaining historic statusNC-v4 MRc1: Building life-cycle impact reductionposted by Dimuth Kurukulaarachchi on Jan 25, 2018, 12:28 pmTristan Roberts Representative Vermont House of Representatives LEEDuser Expert 11477 thumbs up January 31, 2018- 11:38 am I would think this should be allowed by LEED. I would check with GBCI to be sure. You don't specify, but I wonder if the interior non-structural elements are historical at this point, or not? If they are not, it seems like that would make plenty of sense. Even if they are, the approval of the local authority should mean a lot. Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)- recognized equivalent to FSC?NC-v4 MRc3: Building product disclosure and optimization - sourcing of raw materialsposted by Jareb Ketay on Mar 13, 2018, 11:31 amHi folks, The subject pretty much says it all: is PEFC considered an equivalent to FSC by the USGBC? We have a project with a lot of wood from Europe that is PEFC certified. I'm guessing that yes, it would be considered equivalent since FSC and PEFC are the two biggest forestry certification bodies in the world, but surprisingly, I didn't find anything in the guide or on LEEDuser indicating such (but maybe I'm missing something). Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance! Jake- GHT Sustainable Programs Manager MRc3 ... Last reply: Christopher Drew, Apr 27, 2018, 4:54 pm |

Gender Neutral toiletsNC-v4 WEp2: Indoor water use reductionposted by Jude Chakraborty on Mar 22, 2018, 7:48 pmEmily Purcell Sustainable Design Lead CannonDesign LEEDuser Expert 369 thumbs up March 23, 2018- 12:48 pm Hi Jude, are you using urinals in the baseline even though none are to be installed? You don't need to do that- the baseline and design fixtures and uses should match in everything but flush/flow rate. Just set the "percentage of males expected to use urinals" line to 0%, include a "water closet (male)" and "water closet (female)" in the calculator, and the form will calculate 3 WC uses for male occupants.
