Quality Views- Objects 25 FeetNC-v4.1 EQc8: Quality Viewsposted by Alexandre Penegre on Jun 17, 2024, 2:16 pmDoes every "object" outside of 25 feet count? The "quality" views would be facing a parking lot and then there are the backs of retail buildings 300 feet away. Do these reatil buildings count as the objects greater than 25 feet away? Theoratically, these are not what I would call quality views, but they seem to comply with the credit. I guess it seems too easy and I feel like I'm missing something. EQc8 ... |

Defintion of the term "Legal Wood"Pilot-Credits MRpc102: Legal Woodposted by Andres Schwarz on Apr 17, 2016, 10:40 ambrendan owens svp USGBC LEEDuser Expert 129 thumbs up April 18, 2016- 12:00 pm Andres- there are several ways that we anticipate project teams demonstrating legality in the context of this pilot ACP. Part of what we want to explore with this ACP are the various ways project teams can document legality- the third party certification programs referenced in ASTM-7612 are one way to do this but will more than likely not be the only way down the line. the more frameworks and ideas people can help us identify, the more robust our evaluation can be. please share any ideas you have about alternative... Comments stricter than credit languagePilot-Credits EQpc57: Enhanced acoustical performance - exterior noise controlposted by Simon Joubert on Apr 21, 2020, 11:22 pmHi, We have a greenfield industrial building in the middle of an industrial zone in China. No residential buildings in the vicinity. After a first submittal we received a comment asking us to prove that "project noise levels at the nearest property line or public right of way are a minimum of 5 dBA below the existing ambient noise levels without the project". I see three issues with this comment: 1) I do not see this requirement in the credit language. It does not come from local regulations either. 2) This is considerably stricter than the requirement of 60dB(A) at the project boundary which... Last reply: Emily Larochelle, Jun 13, 2024, 3:26 pm |

The summary sheet is also blocked. Please help! EQp1 ... Last reply: DORRA Kouka, Jun 11, 2024, 1:05 pm |

General v5 SuggestionsLEED v5 BD+C/ID+C: Overall and Appendix Public Commentsposted by Dave Hubka on Apr 29, 2024, 4:12 pma credit under an upper limit of points for those strategies. For example there are a lot of transportation options, but a project also can't earn them all and end up off the hook for other categories. Just want to see a visually clearer organization 3. Overall it seems like there are a lot of US national standards referenced with "or local equivalent" allowed for international. What effort... Last reply: Cynthia Kaplan, Jun 5, 2024, 6:25 pm |

Open Space and Turf GrassNC-v4 SSc3: Open spaceposted by Vaneeza Javed on Feb 12, 2024, 2:01 amAndrey Kuznetsov ESG consultant, LEED AP BD+C Self Employed LEEDuser Basic Member 33 thumbs up June 5, 2024- 3:44 am Since regular turfgrass is typically mono species grass, that is very gentle, requires a lot of watering, regulare treatment (inluding fertilizers and pesticides) and do not contribute to the biodevirsity and sustainability of the vegetated area. Note, that v4.1 differs from v4- turf grass counts, and the 25 % of " the required outdoor open space must be vegetated space planted with two or more types of vegetation or have overhead vegetated canopy ". 100% greenfield site admissibilityNC-v4.1 SSc2: Protect or Restore Habitatposted by Carla Rincon on Feb 6, 2023, 10:06 amHello everyone, Can you help me clarify if a 100% greenfield site, with no previously developped areas can traget this credit? The credit requires to "...Restore a portion of the site (including the building footprint) identified as previously disturbed". In the case of a greenfield site, can we calculate the % of the site to restore by using the building's footprint? or would we have to consider the entire project's footprint? (with parking lots and all hardscape areas?). We are already complying with the 1rst requirement which is to "Preserve and protect from all... Last reply: Zeynep Cakir, Jun 4, 2024, 7:25 am |

Group Approach?LEED Rating System Selectionposted by Santiago Avila on May 27, 2024, 10:42 amHello everyone, I am currently working on a project consisting of two residential towers (deep retrofit). Although they appear to be connected from the outside, the only connection they have is through the underground parking lots. It is important to note that they have the same owner, are connected to the same thermal district, do not have cooling, have the same type of ventilation but do not have a centralized system, and have the same connection to the potable water network (a single meter). Clearly, the parking lot is not conditioned, but there is a gym and a laundry room... Last reply: Glen Boldt, May 29, 2024, 11:51 pm |
