Mary Ann Lazarus, FAIA, LEED Fellow, is a consultant with the firm of Cameron MacAllister Group, advisors to the design and construction professions. CMG offers targeted advisory services to help firms become better at what they do and is considered a trusted voice with leading design firms. As a member of the CMG team, Mary Ann works with design firms to integrate greater sustainability and resiliency outcomes throughout their practice. Mary Ann also is an adjunct faculty and sustainability program coordinator at Washington University in St. Louis. Her devotion to sustainability and resilience has extended through her role as an author, lecturer, community advocate, and volunteer. 

Luis Huertas, AIA, LEED AP, is an architect, thinker, urban farmer, and beekeeper. As senior project manager at Sustainable Design Consulting, he digs into architectural design, interior architecture, architectural programming, carbon emissions accounting for buildings, sustainability strategies for operations, and LEED certification administration.

Patty Karapinar, AIA, LEED AP BD+C and O+M, is director of sustainability and an associate architect with Architectural Nexus, a Sacramento- and Salt Lake City-based architectural firm with an integrated practice (planning, landscape architecture, interior design) reaching throughout the western United States and beyond. She aspires to uplift the built environment to regenerate the shared ecosystem and soul of architecture, nature, and people.
