You may not have to do the calculations for each of the systems. If all or some of the systems have similar parameters, sampling of the systems is allowed. Here’s a list of the parameters that must be similar for the systems to conduct a sample.
- Constant volume or variable air volume
- Single-zone or multizone
- Occupancy per unit floor area for area served by the system
- Primary space function served by the system
- Minimum outdoor air setpoints
If your systems are similar for each of the above aspects, calculations and measurements may be conducted for a minimum of 3 or 10% of the total systems (whichever is greater). My building has 80 AHUs providing ventilation to building spaces. Do I have to do the ventilation calculations and conduct outdoor air measurements for each one?
